One of the Triangle’s premier groove/funk/blues bands, BIGFooT GRooVE features top-notch vocal harmonies and a rhythm section firmly planted in the pocket. You got no choice but to dance!
BIGFooT GRooVE is: Cricket Frazier Turner (POWER Vocals), Ken Turner (guitar, lead vocals), Doug Kōbs (keyboards, vocals), Dana Trantham (bass, vocals), Dave Puzzo (drums, vocals).
The band’s repertoire is eclectic and diverse:
Funk – Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone
Motown/R&B – The Temptations, The Staple Singers, James Brown
Blues – Susan Tedeschi, Stevie Ray Vaughan
Dance – Bruno Mars, Average White Band
Classic Rock – Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band
Plenty of Reggae, Pop, Ballads, and even a bit of Jazz. Everything from Elvis to Chumbawamba!
BIGFooT GRooVE has three regular “Haunts” where you can catch them regularly: The Flip Side in Clayton, The Aversboro Restaurant in Garner and Local Bar in Apex.
Besides their regular venues, the band also performs at many other popular live music venues throughout the Triangle:
Tobacco Road, The Pour House and Woody’s in downtown Raleigh; Mac’s Tavern, Woody’s and the Corner Tavern in Cary; The Wild Wing Café in Brier Creek and the Korner Pocket in North Raleigh to name a few.
BIGFooT GRooVE is a very popular private party band as well, and is in demand for various municipal special events.
