Founded in 2005, West Street Band has has played over 400 shows in the Triangle NC area.
West Street Band is: Mike Forgione (Guitar, Lead Vocals), Doug Kōbs (keyboards, vocals), Carl DeSantis (bass, vocals), Gary Grier (drums, vocals).
A variety rock band, WSB‘s set list consists of familiar songs from Top 40, Classic Rock, Funk and Dance tunes.
The band’s repertoire is virtuostic, drawing from top-notch musicians such as Steely Dan, Prince, Alan Parsons Project, Styx and Van Halen.
Focusing on dance music, West Street plays a mix of wall-of-sound Motown/R&B hits as well as classic rock favorites. And there are plenty of heart-felt ballads thrown in for those who like to slow dance…

Featuring Guitar and Vocals by band leader Mike Forgione, West Street Band is the go-to group for special events, and has played every type of event from Festivals and Weddings to Private and Corporate Parties. They are regulars at large outdoor events such as the Koka Booth Oktoberfest and Cary Lazy Daze (which is the largest crafts and arts festival in North Carolina).
West Street Band also performs regularly at popular venues such as Tony’s Oyster Bar and Mac’s Tavern in Cary, as well as Woody’s in Cary and Woody’s City Market.
